Chrome 58 But No Play Store for my HP G4

Dear Readers,

I updated my Chromebook on the beta channel, and got the following results:

  1. Having to log out and log in when Chromevox refused to speak. After I messed with settings, I had to log out and log in because the screen reader would not speak at all unless I hit settings. Ugh. I’m sure there are bug reports everywhere on this already, but I shouldn’t have to deal with the talkbacklike sound quality either.
  2. 2. No word on copy paste text review. I would like to see an improvement on long strings of text, particularly paragraphs and things from a web site. Chromevox seriously needs a makeover or should have kept the sound quality it had in 57. I realize the beta channel is one test channel, but I guess it’s a bit overkill.
  3. There you have it, readers, my update to Chrome. I’ll blog about my experiences with the Google Play Store if I ever see it on my computer. Ever.
    1. Beth

Trump Care Fails, THank God, What’s Next?

Dear Readers,

WHoever thought Trump was making America great again was wrong, bad, and hateful. Trump seriously failed this time, doing the Trump Care bill, something that could’ve taken away my dental benefits along with my preventative care stuff, stuff like preventing pregnancy of all things. Women are not childbirth receptacles, but to put it simply, Trump wants to roll back women’s rights to choose whether they have a baby or not. IF a rapist were to encounter me, I would have to have his permission to abort his child. That’s stupid because for one, the rapist is a monster. For two, any rapist would want to force me to have his child, so there you go. I would indeed take an abortion over having the monster’s breeding stock. Sad to say, but a rapist should think before he does anything, which half the time he won’t. Trump should grow woman parts and see what it’s like to carry a child for nine months, the belly being swollen and all, and see what it’s like to be in labor. Milania was in labor, but was the Donald there to see it? Now, he should experience it. And that’s one part of TrumpCare I would have argued is not right. Rolling back contraceptive rights for women means I won’t work at Hobby Lobby or any Christian operated facility, and not because I’m personally not Christian, but because of the selective insurance coverage. It should be noted that Trump’s healthcare bill will fail no matter what he does next. Obama had it right, covering more under Medicaid including myself personally. No per capita cap or block granting Medicaid would work especially for me and many others like me who don’t have jobs, can’t get jobs, can’t do things without Rehab’s help or unlawful diagnosis. I don’t know what to say.

The thing I’m happy about is my dentist appointment coming up. I hope to God it is still being paid for by Medicaid because I’m not going out of state for dental appointments. Ugh. Florida is across the country, and it’s not safe for disabled and elderly people alike. I can’t go back because what if I’m told I can’t return home? Trenton would grieve my loss, and other people would not be allowed to speak with me. I don’t care what happens on the Internet, there is something that not only the governors and President are not caring about, but lots of people aren’t caring about.

I found out that the guardianship is a human trafficking in my rights. Therefore, I respectfully ask that the courts in Florida do something to prosecute my parents in the form of a human trafficking charge. They took my rights so they could continue holding me hostage, so thhis is what I’m going to do. I’m staying with Trenton and keeping a low profile from now on, my dad being blocked on my phone again. And if he continues wanting to contact me, he seriously won’t. I’ve already disowned my parents via email, and hope they do not try to contact me again. I’m not sure, not definitely sure what will happen next, but keep it here for all the latest. Obviously, TrumpCare’s failure was a blessing. I’m glad because I don’t have to be on my parents’ health insurance, ever ever ever.

My Life Today and Why What Happened to Me Was Critical and Criminal

Hello, folks.

I’m typing this blog entry on my iPhone using VoiceOver and all the things that amount to independence. Mainly a Logitech K480 keyboard. I love all the things I can do with it, but right now, I’m feeling as though I’ve come across an epoch. I’m working with FaceUs, a Colorado based organization that will possibly end it all, the corruption and the incapacitation, all of that will hopefully be gone. And as for my parents, I don’t know how I’m going to explain this. I’ve disowned the family for being predators and criminals, and the whole idea was criminal. I knew that this would be a bad thing, and I didn’t know how bad.

Guardianship is a national epidemic, and I am just one victim, but 30 years old  is far too young to be put away and isolated, abused, told who to talk to, etc. I seriously don’t think I’m alone now. And what happened to me should never happen to anyone else, no one else. Anyone can be guardianized, and it sucks to have this. It can happen to me, your old man or woman, your grown child, your friends, sister, brother, anyone. Even if they don’t have significant disabilities, one can be incapacitated. It is awful what is happening, and the judicial system allowed criminals such as my family to get away with practically anything they want, and no lawyer will do what is right to the situation and fight hard for me. I can’t fly back for a hearing, and I don’t want to. I hope that FaceUs will realize and expose my parents for what they have done to their own daughter, and not only that, expose all the abusers for what they’ve done!

Thank you for reading this, and I hope you all have a safe and wonderful week.

Deciding Between iPhones and Healthcare

Dear Readers,

The GOP recently revealed a plan that could hit hard on low income Americans in the healthcare front. I’m lucky I have Medicaid for now, but there’s a problem. Tax credits would go to buy healthcare instead of subsidies, and honestly, it’s not good for those whose income cannot be taxed. SSI is not taxable income, so how do we get healthcare? Medicaid also allows me to live a life outside the home, even if a job is not possible due to employer attitude. Blind people are 85% more likely to be unemployed or underemployed and underpaid in jobs. We can’t even buy things we would need for independence and seeking employment such as Braille displays, and the average blind consumer doesn’t have earning power. Therefore, it is apparent that the GOP is not caring enough for those Americans who need the healthcare insurance.

Let’s go away from blindness for a second. Ashley, a mother of an autistic girl, knows firsthand what her daughter needs in therapeutic treatments for the autistic symptoms, but the GOP doesn’t care. Ashley’s daughter was diagnosed at an early age, and Ashley is trying her best to give her daughter the experiences she would otherwise be deprived of. AShley’s insurance may not cover the daughter’s needs because of disability. Tax credits may not be enough to supplement the young girl’s therapy and other things, and Medicaid may be Ashley’s only hope of treatment for her daughter’s autism. WHat will the girl go through in her life due to the GOP healthcare plan? She could face bullying that is over and above what the average girl could face online and in the schoolyard, and she could be discriminated against in healthcare. Ashley’s daughter would probably face more discriminating factors, and the possibility of finding a job and a mate are slim to none. I know from experience that a mate is hard to find, and Trenton is the best choice I’ve made so far because at least he treats women like queens, including his own mother. Most men though they treat their mom like a queen, they would not echo the same sentiment with disabled females. AShley’s husband and daughter are both lucky in that they are both part of Ashley’s life, but the daughter must in any case be able to thrive, not just be a victim or survivor in a family environment that doesn’t always go as planned. Autistic people do not need to be fixed, they need to be able to do things differently as blind people do. But the communication tools that autistics use, mainly for Apple’s iPhone, cost too much on their own. An iPhone or iPad is expensive, and the GOP leader who made that comment about giving up iPhones for healthcare reasons does not understand that healthcare for autistic people may require an iPhone or iPad because Android doesn’t have autistic apps for help and focus as much as we’d like to believe that. Android doesn’t have guided focus settings that I devices have, and Apple integrated Prolokro into their app store which can help an autistic person communicate. Anyway, I am gonna run now.I have a lot to ponder.
