In Memory of People: Life is Short

It was a typical morning in the Stewart household when the mother found her son, Leon, age 22, dead in her home. Robert Peck, age 22, died of severe brain injuries sustained when he was hit by a car purposefully because of a man he thought was a friend. Both of these people died two different ways, Leon of a seizure and Robert from purposeful injury. Life is way too short for trivial pursuits, at least in my opinion. I want to let all of you know that Leon was a fellow KJSC Radio staffer before he died, and when this happened, I was about to wake up with Trenton like I always do. I was shocked to find out that Leon passed away because Doug and Makco, two of my friends, wrote about it, I thought this was a joke. But it wasn’t. Seems people are dropping like flies, in our community as well.

But Leon Stewart was a really awesome guy, I will never forget the Faygo he begged for and he wanted Michael Jackson cookies, otherwise known as oreos. Maybe I should send Leon’s mom some cookies so she can have those. I don’t know what she eats, really, but I should try.

Robert Peck’s death was anything but accidental. An officer was sent to arrest a suspect in the murder, but the suspect so far has not been arrested. He ran off.

Leon’s death was more an accident. Anyway, since life is too short and since the deaths of Leon Stewart and Robert Peck, I’d like to commit more to Trenton and marriage will have to be a part of it. Whether we do it now or later, life’s too short to wait too long. Blake wanted to wait, but his family interrupted the relationship over mental safety concerns, which is never acceptable. Anyhow, after these two incidents though, my outlook is this: take every day as a gift, life is precious, don’t waste anything. Haste makes waste applies here.

Thank you all for reading my blog, and if you wish to comment on the recent events that took place in our community, please do so in a respectful manner and I will respond in turn.
