My Other Half: Poem

My Other Half

Tall, dark, and handsome–
No, I mean literally–
He stands at my side, even when the tide
Turns against us.
Were always together in more ways than one way,
Never fading from our view, from Arizona’s sky so blue.
Blake, you are my other half.

There’s something special about you in my life.
You say you need a wife? A sedative? A date?
I can be all those just for you, babe.
I’ll be ever true, Babe.
I will never stop loving you.
Not till the day I drop dead,
Till I can’t move my head,
Till I can’t move my arms, and my heart stops
And my blood pressure tops 180 over 50 or so. I don’t know.
Blake, you’re something else,
But most of all,
You are my other half.
